Name: Hanajima Lissa Kadae/Hanajima Takanashi

Nicknames: Hana; Little Flower.

Age: 14.

Race: Human/Fruit bat.

Village/Country: Konohagakure no Sato/Village Hidden Among Leaves (Konoha).

Bingo Book Notes: Hana is ranked as a Chunin, and she is known as a B rank ninja. She has the same abilities as Masara Takanashi, but uses them for completely different attacks. She is also her little sister. Hanajima can summon a large fruit bat and uses her to pinpoint locations and for defense.

Build: She's about 5'3". Hanajima is lanky, due to the diet that she has. Like Masara, she is part bat from her family's bloodline.

Hair: Loose curly black hair that is to the tips of her shoulders. She never keeps it put back or anything.

Eyes: Sapphire.

Appearance: Hanajima usually does not make appearances, but she is known for the fact that she does not wear her headband on her forehead. Her eyes are blue, and she is often thinking of a plan before she acts, unlike her nakama and her sister.

She wears a loose-fitting purple shirt and long black gloves. Hana has a pair of gauntlets that she wears overtop of them, protecting her from potential damage. Her gloves are made with special materials to make sure she does not emit any chakra to interfere with her comrade's hearing, or attack them with motions of her hands. The same material is also on her boots, to prevent damage. Both of them are held together with a buckle. The only difference between Masara's and Hanajima's are that Hana's cover up to her elbows and knees, while Masara's are to her wrists and ankles.

Hanajima also wears her forehead protector around her waist, and a pair of black leather shorts. In the winter, she will opt for leather pants that are tight fitting. She has a kunai holder tied to her right leg, and has a satchel to hold her items, which is on her waist.

Personality: Hanajima is a quiet person by nature. She is always hidden in the shadows, and she does not make an appearance in the village except to report to ANBU about any suspicious activities within the borders or gates of Konoha. The girl is reserved, and does not speak most of the time unless spoken to, or if she has to.

She also does not like people helping her if she faces a problem, because she has a guilty conscience and thinks that it is selfish to impose on other people. Because of her years of isolation from people, Hanajima does not really like social interaction, and has many places to hide when she does not want to be found.

She is known to have a violent temper when fighting with Masara.

When she is not on missions, Hanajima will hang out with her nakama, Ihanu, making sure he does not get into trouble. She also has a fascination with breaking Gou's television, thinking that there are cities of people trapped inside the television. She also is insistant that there are thieves, stealing apples from the apple tree that she has lived at for a while.

Hanajima was raised in Kohona by a newlywed couple who wanted children, but could not have them. When one year old Hanajima was taken back to the village, they offered to take her. She had adopted the last name of Kadae when she lived with them.

When she was nine years old, Hanajima lost both of her 'parents' while they were out on a mission. When they died, Hanajima decided that she was not going to trouble anyone, because she was an outcast to the villagers. Rather then stay in the house, Hanajima started to opt for the forests on the edge of the village gates. While most of the ANBU and regular ninja knew where she was staying, they tried to get her to come back into the village, saying that it was too dangerous. Eventually, they compromised, and she could stay if she helped patrol the village. Hana agreed.

She graduated from the Academy when she was eleven years old, and eventually she met her nakama, Ihanu. They were put in the same team for training, but her sensei disappeared on a mission and has not returned. However, the two would look out for each other--Hanajima slipping him her money earned on missions to survive, and Ihanu watching her back and trying to get her to live in some sort of sheltered place when it was cold, snowy, or rainy.

Eventually their sensei never returned, and they were assigned to train with Ichimonji Gou. She has been training with him for three years, and never knew what she was doing, or what her real skills were. All she wanted to do was to get good enough to be able to find her sister, which she was told about before her 'parents' died.

Little did she know, however, that all of it would fall into her lap when Gou was assigned to go after Kabuto and Masara, who came into the village to steal the summon scroll that was left with Hanajima. She found out that Masara was an agent for the Sound--but that she was her lost sister. After Masara was brought to Konoha by Gou, Kabuto, Tsunade and Gou inform her that Masara is her sister, but that she was brainwashed into serving Orochimaru. It is after Masara and her meet again that Masara activates her power, allowing to attack using sound waves.

Shortly after this, Masara also tells her to use her summon scroll, and to summon her bat, Aia, in the middle of battle. After seeing that Aia was a fruit bat, Hanajima started to think of ways to use her talents in battle.

When Aia tells her that Masara has died, Hanajima goes into a complete rage, and is the one who ends up killing the clone of Orochimaru that invaded the village. She was bitten by a snake, which gave her the Cursed Seal. Because of her body chemistry, lack of nutrients and worry over Masara (who was in a coma), she was very sick for a long time, and unable to hold food or water down. Eventually, the seal was extracted from her body by Masara, who came up with a jutsu that nearly killed Hanajima to extract. It was through this that she understood what her sister went through, and no longer thinks that Masara was selfish in using the Cursed Seal's power.

Since Masara has awakened from her six month coma, Hanajima has risen to Chunin, and she is put in Gou's unit, along with Masara, and Ihanu. She serves as a defensive person, to calculate moments and to be the sound one in the group when playing defensive. She also takes on her real last name of Takanashi after she is put in the unit.

Skills and Abilites: Hanajima's attacks come from her hands and feet, which send out vibrations for her attacks. She also has the unique ability to attack like a bat, but has been known to actually use her summon to corellate with her movements. While she has not transformed into a bat, she has an underlining fear of it, based on what the Cursed Seal of Heaven did to Masara's and nearly killed her.

Out of her unit, Hana is the only one who thinks on the defensive, and plans movements based on her enemy's attacks. She is the one to plan, while her sister is reckless. Most of her attacks are based on long range attacks, or with her bat, Aia, since she is more bat-like then her sister with her eyesight and hearing.

Level 1 (regular chakra)
Vibration: Hanajima can make sound waves emit from her fingers and feet in different ranges. She is known to use her power at long distances, however.
Sonic Blow: With the ability to make chakra and control it, Hanajima can actually send pressurized air waves into the ground and make spikes pop up where her enemy is standing. She can also send these in the air, but she will do this from a distance.
Homing Eye: Hanajima can do something almost like the Byakugan, but unlike the Hyuga clan, she can only use this ability in dark places, or in the dark of night.

Level 2 (High level chakra intake)
Four Wall Sonar Web: This is Hana's special attack with her summon, Aia. Hanajima can talk to her bat and she can make precise calculations to where she thinks the enemy will go. From there, the bat will make a sonar wall, and once all four walls are complete, Hana can activate chakra to make a barrier so they do not escape.
Kyochise no Jutsu/Summon Technique: Hana can summon her fruit bat, Aia, to help her aid in defensive measures in battle.
Transformation: Like Masara, Hana can transform into a bat. But unlike Masara, with her sound waves, she will use sonar waves to block off enemy attacks. Masara's bat is more powerful, and hers is completely defensive.

Possessions: Hana owns no personal belongings, other then a blanket that Ihanu got for her, a pair of spare clothing (which is just like her outfit) and her satchel with kunai, exploding tags, her summon scroll, soldier pills and string.

Weaknesses: Hanajima is very lanky, and has brittle bones, like Masara. In addition, she does not handle the cold well, but she makes an effort to actually train in it. Additionally, with her limited fruit diet, she tends to lack in other nutrients, which she must take pills for to digest anything else other then fruit.

Other things: When she doesn't have her gloves and boots, Masara leaks out chakra and ends up breaking things with simple movements, such as waving out her hand from the force of vibrations. She has to keep her gloves and shoes on at all times.

Hanajima seems to only eat fruit, because of being a fruit bat. She is normally seen with up to six to ten green apples at a time, since she lives in an apple tree. She will also stock up on missions, to make sure she has plenty of food. However, she seems to eat other fruits when she gets a craving. Her favorite juice is pineapple with beetles in it, and apple juice with worms.

Lastly, she takes it upon herself to look after Ihanu's well being. Keeping only money needed to buy fruit, Hanajima puts the rest of her earnings from missions in Ihanu's box house (boxen) so that he can buy food and clothing for himself. It is not until years later he discovers this, however.

Friendships/Links: Hanajima has a few people that she answers to, as well as respects. Most of these have helped her along the way.

Takanashi Masara: Hanajima's sister that was taken captive after their father was killed, escaping from Otogakure no Sato with Hotaru of Konohagakure no Sato. She was brainwashed into serving Orochimaru, but came to Konoha with Kabuto to reveal her real plan, and to tell Hanajima that she was her sister. She now stays with Ichimonji Gou, and is working in the same unit as her.
Yakushi Kabuto: A Sound med-nin who is Masara's sensei, and her nakama. Kabuto has more then once put his life on the line for Masara. However, he also gave her weapons to fight with, and Hana is grateful. She also looks to him to take care of her sister's weaknesses, and she treats him like he is her uncle.
Tsunade: 5th Hokage of Konoha. She is constantly reminding Hanajima to eat more then just apples and fruit. She also is the one tell her about her sister, and watches her as she hones her abilities. She does have a soft spot for them though, as they remind her of people past, like her own unit, and Team Kakashi. Hana thinks of her more as a mother figure, but as someone who is stern in her discipline.
Ihanu: Hanajima's nakama. Hana will take care of him by sending him money when he least expects it, and he will watch out for her with his Byagukan, and let her stay in his boxen. They have trained together for the past four years, and have grown to be good friends; even if she doesn't want the company, sometimes.
Ichimonji Gou: An ANBU in Konoha who is Hanajima and Ihanu's sensei. He was the one who brought Hana's sister to Konoha and has taken a liking to Masara. His house is also where their whole unit lives. He freaks out on her apple and fruit diet, but realised it was all she could eat after she showed traits of her fruit bat summon. The two fight when are they off missions, because of the television.
Oborous Taki: An ANBU that Hana reports to when she has to report suspicious activites when she is doing border patrol. She only reports to her, unless she has to go to the higher ups, and report to Tsunade.
Rolan: To the public, he is a missing-nin. To others, he is loyal to Konoha, but leader of the Black Ops. Rolan was Gou's teacher, and comes back to check on things once in a while. He is known for his three katanas and his lightning speed reactions.
