Maerlota is Ti'Mae's counterpart and was orginally an Esper, because she was played on Cleft of Dimension. Basically, she's the person no one likes, but who is really fun to play as for me.

Name: Maerlota

Nicknames: 'Lota.

Age: 32.

Race: Symbiote.

Class: Esper.

Appearance: Her apperance is a hard thing to distinguish, because she does not, in all honesty, have a 'body' of her own. Since she has been 'fused' with Ti'Mae, she takes on the apperance of her host's body when she possesses her. But when she can actually seperate, she either takes her own form, or Ti'Mae's.

When she can actually seperate for a given period of time, she still takes on the form of Ti'Mae, but she has two locks of black hair on either side of her. She keeps the braid in her hair and she does not keep the silver rimmed glasses or the pentacle necklace. She does, however, keep the engagement ring on her finger, belly button piercing and matching earrings.

Maerlota's clothes, however, do change and she is often seen with a black shirt on that is short sleeved and has a oval in the chest, thus showing a little more clevage than expected. The shirt has a button at the neck, which allows her to take it off easier if needed. Maerlota wears a red scarf around her neck, which is loose and silky.

She also has a gold belt on her skinny waist, which does not have as much body fat as her host does. It hangs comfortably on her waist, overtop the short red skirt that she tends to wear. This comes down to mid thigh. She also wears black leather boots, but they are torn on the bottom from her claw like feet.

A red ribbon dons her tail and is the same length as the blue one that Ti'Mae wears on hers.

Personality: Unlike her host, Maerlota is mostly angry with the world around her, due to her imprisonment. She often is spiteful, rude, and jealous of others for the ability to have possession of their own body. She often is angry when seeing couples together, because she is reminded of someone she has lost. Despite these things, Maerlota does have a caring side to her, and has become rather protective over Ti'Mae (if only because she would die if she let something happen to her host). Despite the bond these two have, they still tend to get into arguements over the people in their lives.

Maerlota will often possess Ti'Mae without warning when danger comes around. This is rather common and there are significant changes to this, such as her demeanor, posture, and language. However, since coming to Haven, Maerlota has learned more to cope with life and since she has calmed down, has been able to seperate from Ti'Mae's body for a limited amount of time.

Possessions: Technically, Maerlota can't really 'own' any possessions because she is in Ti'Mae's body most of the time. So Ti'Mae is her possession. (~_^)

Skills: She uses a lot of trickery and manipulation to get what she wants. Since she was so used to having to use Ti'Mae as a vessel, she often will take control of her when the situation calls for it. Usually this will be when she feels that someone near is endangering her, or when she is pissed off about something someone has said, or her mood in general.

Since being able to seperate from her, Maerlota has been working on trying to retain her 'form' for less then a few hours at a time. They have managed to only do this a few times, before leaving Ti'Mae in a near comatose state. This is not done a lot for this reason. Often she also will feel weakened when she is like this, because her life is connected to Ti'Mae's.

Maerlota is also trying to develop more on her telekinesis, because she was so used to only have one spell that she could use after she was fused, or only able to access her host's powers. The most she can access right now is being able to throw things with her hand if she focuses and her mind.

Magic:Maerlota's magic is different then Ti'Mae's. While she does have the ability to actually use her host's magical powers, Maerlota is more likely to use her own psionic powers. Here are some of the things she can do.

Possession -- Maerlota can possess Ti'Mae's body at any time she chooses. This is mostly done when there is a high level of stress, or if something triggers 'Lota into a rage, such as seeing a certain person, or hearing about certain events.

Mind Throw -- This is one of her most used abilities, where she uses her mind to throw things at people. She can only do this for a few minutes before it takes a huge toll on her, if they are small items. The bigger the item, the quicker she tires out. This is especially true if she is within her own form. Signs of this are the way her body shivers and how she begins to attack aggressively, without aim or care at who she's aiming at.

Seperation -- Maerlota can seperate from Ti'Mae for a limited amount of time and can take on her own form. She can only do this for a maximum of three hours before she is slammed back into her hosts body, due to how much energy it takes to sustain her form in the outside world. The longer she is outside Ti'Mae's body, the more energy is drained from her host. She also cannot be apart from her more then one floor of the monastery.

Telepathy -- She can speak into other people's mind from a distance.

History: Maerlota is a symbiote Esper, and she was one of the few in her village. She was being trained in telekinesis for years by her teacher before she was summoned by High Priestess Ta'Katrina. The summoning forced her out of her home realm and into Burmecia, where she learned that the Priestess wanted her power for her own. Unable to let this happen, Maerlota tried to create a void home, but instead was thrown in the first body that was in her way, which happened to be Ti'Mae. Before she could find a way out of the young ratgirl's body, Ta'Katrina had cast a spell, fusing her with the other girl.

For years, Maerlota dealt with being inside Ti'Mae without trying to overtake the girl. But one day, when one of the Elders of Cleyra were trying to hurt Ti'Mae's sister, she possessed Ti'Mae for the first time and killed him. To this day, Ti'Mae has not realised that it was Maerlota that killed her and thinks it was due to blind rage. After that incident, Ti'Mae was cast out of her homeland and Maerlota began to slowly play mind games with her and corrupt her, making her insane. This was more after they left Rellis' company and another friend, and after she nearly killed Rellis (to which he managed to find his way back to the living) and a little girl out of spite.

After some catastrophic events, Ti'Mae fell into a coma and Maerlota began to forgive Rellis for certain flaws in his character after he came back to retrieve his broken counterpart. For the most part, Maerlota still has a lot of pent up rage and unleashes it from time to time.

However, when they were alone for a time, Maerlota was trying to find a way to break from Ti'Mae's body. The two have managed to come up with a system of doing it, but they have not expanded past that.

In a technical sorts, Maerlota would be considered a magic teacher of Haven, due to having magic and being inside Ti'Mae's body--but she would only teach telekinesis and only teach it to those who know their secret.
