Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven
Released in April of 1998, Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven is perhaps the most well-known game of the Might and Magic series. Mandate of Heaven lets players roam freely, in place of the grid-based movement of previous Might and Magic games. Mandate of Heaven was also the first Might and Magic game to introduce a skill points system. Control four heroes in a quest to save Enroth from 'the Devils', which can be best described as intergalatic conquerors. Of course, like almost any other 'save the world' story, had your party not come face-to-face with the Devils in the beginning, you would not think they were behind this; Enroth's own monsters are a more frequent threat.
